Air Pollution - Other related statements and reports

The Committee published, in 1997, the DH Handbook on Air Pollution and Health. This book provides an introductory, non-technical account of the effects of air pollution on health aimed primarily at students.

The information provided is based on detailed the reports prepared during the past eight years by the Department of Health's Advisory Group on the Medical Aspects of Air Pollution Episodes and the Committee on the Medical Aspects of Air Pollutants. It is hoped that this book will make available, more widely, the work of these groups and will provide a ready source of advice and reference on the effects of air pollution.
