26 August 2008 We are pleased to announce
the recent appointments exercise to appoint further members to the Joint Committee
on Vaccination and Immunisation has been completed. The following appointments
were made and all members have been appointed from 1 October 2008: - Dr
Jennifer Harries , Director of Public Health, Monmouthshire Local Health Board
and National Public Health Service for Wales
- Professor Claire-Anne Siegrist,
Paediatric Immunologist, Head of the vaccinology centre and research laboratory
at Geneva University Hospital
- Dr Andrew Riordan, Consultant in Paediatric
infectious Diseases and Immunology at Alder Hey Children's Hospital
- Dr
Gabrielle Laing ,Community Paedatrician and clincal director in City and Hackney
PCT
22 April 2008 We are looking to appoint five members
to the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation. The vacancies are for
a Primary Care Trust Director of Public Health, or an equivalent position; a Community
Paediatrician; a Paediatric Infectious Disease Physician; a Paediatric Immunologist;
and a Virologist. 27
April 2007 We are pleased to announce that the recent appointments
exercise to appoint further members to the JCVI has been completed. The following
appointments were made:
- Dr Ray Borrow as the
Microbiologist member has been appointed from 1 April 2007.
- Ms
Anne McGowan and Mrs Pauline MacDonald have been appointed as the nurse members
from 1 April 2007.

- Dr Anthony Harnden as the GP member has
been appointed from 1 March 2006.

We are pleased to announce that the recent
appointments exercise to appoint further members to the JCVI has been completed.
The following appointments were made:
- Dr Paul Jackson
as the Northern Ireland member representative has been appointed from 1 December
2005.
- Professor Jonathan Friedland as the infectious diseases member has
been appointed from 1 December 2005.
- Dr Ahmed Syed has been appointed
as the Scottish member of the JCVI from 1 January 2006.
- From 1 January
2006 Professor Andrew Hall has been appointed as the chair of JCVI.
