Dr Paul Gully
Director of Policy Analysis and Communications, Office of the ADG, Health Security and Environment

Dr Gully is Senior Adviser to the Assistant Director General, Health Security and Environment (HSE), WHO HQ, Geneva. He also has responsibility for the risk communication team in the HSE cluster. Up to April 2006, he was deputy chief public health officer responsible for infectious diseases and emergency preparedness in the Public Health Agency of Canada, and held various posts in Health Canada from 1990. Prior to that, he worked in public health at the local and regional level in Canada and the UK.
Dr. Gully is a physician with specialty training in public health in the United Kingdom and Canada and has held honorary and adjunct academic positions in the UK and Canada.
